Efferon LPS has been officially acknowledged in the updated clinical guidelines of the German Society of Nephrology. This inclusion marks a new treatment method for patients with sepsis – “simultaneous hemoadsorption of endotoxins and cytokines”.

The decision to include Efferon LPS® in the treatment protocol is supported by a growing body of clinical data. Updated German guidelines cite a prospective, randomized, controlled study of 58 patients with intra-abdominal sepsis and septic shock. In this study, patients in the Efferon LPS group demonstrated significant and rapid improvements in mean arterial pressure and the Horowitz index, as well as faster weaning from mechanical ventilation compared to standard therapy.
